The Responsible Conduct of Research

The Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) and Responsible Academic Conduct (RAC) include topics such as fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, data management and professional collaborations, authorship, peer review, mentor - trainee relationships, allegations of misconduct and whistle blowing.

The Federal Office of Research Integrity (ORI) promotes integrity in biomedical and behavioral research supported by the Public Health Service (PHS). ORI monitors institutional investigations of research misconduct and facilitates the responsible conduct of research through educational, preventive, and regulatory activities.
